Take 2

This was oreo session number 2. Carter decided he should be part of this one. So he had a coffee cup full of milk and he chowed down on black cookies until his teeth looked like they would need to be power blasted clean.
Libby's MRI is scheduled for September 4th. We have to be there at 10am, but they won't do it until 12. The MRI is to rule out something called Arnold Chiari Deformity. It is a deformity in the brain where the cerebellum is deformed and puts pressure on the brain stem causing a lot of different problems. They said they wanted to rule this out in Libby before just doing a feeding tube, because she is otherwise healthy. Some of the symptoms of the chiari are trouble swallowing, numbness or tingling of the extremities, headaches, vertigo. All of the symptoms other than the dysphagia, Libby wouldn't know any different if it was something she had had her entire life. If that is what is going on with her, it can be corrected with surgery. I never thought I would hope for her just to need a feeding tube, but I hope she just needs a feeding tube.
I thought our lives were crazy now -- they are about to be really different than anything Wayne and I thought we would ever be doing!
