Well last night I used the computers downstairs to blog, because the keyboard in our room wasn't working right. When I got back to the room, her pulse ox had dropped into the mid 80's. She got another updraft and suctioned and still didn't come back up to where they want her to stay, so she was put back on oxygen. I think they thought I was nuts, because I started crying when they said they were going to put her back on o2.
This morning Wayne and Carter came up to see us. Wayne is going to stay with Libby today and actually stay all night. So I am blogging from the home PC today. Carter and I are going to snuggle up in mommy's bed and sleep straight through the night! I can hardly wait!!! However, I have to get a lot of laundry and two week old dishes done, because no one has been here for two weeks.
They stopped Lib's feeding pump this morning so she would be hungry enough to eat for the swallowing evaluation. Wayne was there for that. He said she did fine, but sounded terrible after she finished eating. They had fixed her bottle to honey consistency. For those who don't know, that is super thick...literally like honey. So now they think maybe she really is aspirating. Now on the agenda for Monday is sweat chloride and another barium swallow study. WE ARE NEVER GOING HOME!!!!!!!
Anyway, back to the off..on...off part of the story. She, as of 4:30pm central standard time, is back off oxygen. Who freakin' knows? The pulmonologist who is on call this weekend said he was going to really search her chart to hopefully lead them in the right way, because they don't know.
